About Aviation WT

An independent aviation news wire.

The site is in development. Public launch is planned for autumn 2026 — but our crawler is already running, which is probably why you are here.

Aviation WT collects press releases, industry news and job postings from airlines, airports, manufacturers and civil aviation authorities around the world. We summarise each story in plain English, tag it, and link back to the newsroom that published it.

We do not produce original reporting. Every story we index belongs to the publication that wrote it.

For publishers and webmasters

If you found our crawler in your server logs, this section is for you.

What we publish:

- An original summary of about 55 words, written by us — never a copy of your sentences.
- Your headline, translated when your article is not in English.
- The publication date and the name of your publication.
- A prominent link back to your article, at the top of the page.

What we never publish:

- The full text of your article, or a full translation of it.
- Your images on our servers — they are hotlinked and served from your own site.
- Anything behind your paywall or login.

Our crawler

AviationWT/1.0 (+https://aviationwt.com/about; [email protected])

It requests an article page once, when that article first appears in your RSS feed or press room. It does not crawl your whole site, does not follow internal links, and does not come back to the same page.

We see ourselves as partners. Our goal is to send readers to your site, not to keep them away from it. If you have any reservation about the way your content appears here, please get in touch — we would much rather talk than be blocked.

Removal requests

Write to [email protected] with the URL of the story. We remove it within 48 business hours, no questions asked. On request, we will also exclude your domain from our sources permanently.

How the site will work

We monitor the press rooms and RSS feeds of airlines, airports, manufacturers and aviation authorities. Each new story is read once, summarised, and tagged against a closed vocabulary of about 380 aviation entities and 37 themes — so a reader looking at a story about an airline is offered every other story about that same airline, and the aviation jobs connected to it.

We will also publish a daily digest and an aviation job board.

Who is behind it

Aviation WT is built and run by Guillaume Beland, a Canadian water bomber pilot based in Quebec. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot Licence and previously ran a web development company. It is a one-person project — which means the person who answers your email is the same person who wrote the code.
